A perfect evening

Have you ever experience the delight of finding an unexpected place?

I don’t know exactly why, but I like Udaipur. A royal city with beauty, peace, and scenic locations. Udaipur is known as the city of lakes. But it’s more than that. It’s a whole nine yards(Forts, places, hills, lakes, zoo, gardens, museums, statues, fairs, and what not).

It was a sudden trip (well, our planned trips have fat chances). Though it’s not my first visit to Udaipur, I still can’t get over the beautiful evening at Badi Garh Resort. We have no idea about this place, never heard about it. One evening we were wandering and exploring the outskirts of the city when we saw Badi Garh Resort.

It was my birthday eve, and we are looking for a birthday cake. Due to covid-19 restrictions shops were being closed at 8 pm and it’s already 7:30 pm. So, we went there. Though it may be Buckley’s chance, we thought to give it a try.

As we entered, we liked the place at first sight. It was a quiet place. But we didn’t find the cake. So, we had to leave, but none of us wants to. All our way back to the hotel, we were talking about the place only, and we planned to visit it the next day.

PS: Luckily, we found a cake shop(about to close, shutter half down. The night curfew effect).

On the next day, we reschedule our plan so that we will have dinner at Badi Garh. As the place is on the outskirt of Udaipur and due to covid, a very few people will be there, and we were in two minds. So we decided to visit a little early.

We reached there around 6 pm the next day. The weather was calm and cloudy. It may rain anytime(Ah! I love winter rains). First, we explore the whole place. After feeding our curiosities, we decided to have something as we were feeling hungry.

We choose to sit in an open place on the top under a canopy. Oh! The view, weather, chirping of birds, and peace. I was so mesmerized. I’m having a whale of a time. And suddenly, the heavens have opened.

What a joy to experience?

The rain made the place second to none. You rarely get such a peaceful experience. Ah! I’ve fallen head over heels in love with that moment. I want to stay and feel what I’m experiencing. It wasn’t my first experience with nature, but I’ve never experienced this awe in nature.

Dream with me for a moment. The sound of rain, the smell of rain, whispering of air, bonfire, cold weather, sitting in a place surrounded by hills, and all your anxiety is disappearing in the pitter-patter of water. No chaos. Just you, nature, and peace within.

Everything was so beautiful. The place certainly has its charm.

PS: We were regretting. If we found that place earlier, we never miss a chance to stay here. But, that was our last night at Udaipur. Our bad.

At the time, I thought, I really need to come back.

We had our dinner and came back to the hotel. The evening at the resort adds more beautiful memories to the trip.

This is the kind of trip I think I’m going to miss the most.
