And somewhere I feel, you are with us, everyday.

“Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch.” ― Jack Thorne

Losing someone who is very close to you is the most devasting experience. The loss and pain are like we have lost some part of ourselves. And, I believe it’s natural.

Of course, we know the truth that no one is going to be here forever. We all know that death is a part of our lives, but we are never ready to accept it.

When we lose someone precious, there is a feeling of pain that shivers down your spine. The loss creates a vacuum in our lives, and we are not able to handle it. Getting through the loss takes time, and everyone deals with it in their way. The journey is different for everyone.

When it happens, we started having flashbacks of all the memories we had with the person. We almost revisit our entire life with that person at that moment. We smile, we laugh with each memory, and then suddenly, we started feeling empty, numb and shattered. We don’t know what to do.

But why we have that feeling?

Because when they were around us, they enhanced our lives in many ways. After their leave, what we have, is memories of the time we cherished with them, the lessons of life they taught us, the love they showered upon us, and their smiling face. That’s how they are always connected with us by heartstrings into infinity.

Is that okay to rue their exit rather than cherish these forever memories?

I know it’s hard, but we should cherish these flashes joyfully. Their memories should always bring tears of joy, not grief. They were wonderful and complete our lives in many ways. Let their memories bring all the wonderful aspects to us again and again.

So stand up, and express all these amazing things to all who are living around you. And, that’s how life goes on.

“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear.” — Anonymous
