Rain, Childhood, and Memories

Pic from Google

I love rain. It is so peaceful. It always brought back memories of childhood, the craziest and happiest part of my life, or I feel everyone’s life. I already started feeling nostalgic.😍

Making paper boats, splashing rainwater, wading through waterlogged roads while coming back from school, standing under the water oozing out of pipes, singing the rain songs(chak dhoom dhoom was the favorite one), and dancing madly, everything was so crazy. There was no fear of getting sick, or being scold by parents or walking bare feet in dirty muddy water. Who cares about these?

Even today as well, I never miss a chance to relive these memories. During workdays, when it rain, I stand in the window of my cubical airconditioned hall and watching the flurry of rain flattering against my window. I enjoy the solitude and the peace.

On rainy weekends, a cup of hot tea with fritters(pakoras) and a book are my favorite companions. Sitting on the balcony and capturing the thunder lighting in my camera. Feeling the smell of fresh air ripped with the pleasant scent of soil. Everything seems purified even from within.

Rain, it’s always a feast for the eyes. Closing my eyes and I can see all the timeless memories of my childhood.🥰🧡
